Dahle CleanTEC 41214 Shredder Review

Category: Shawn Dahladmin @ 4:21 pm

There are some great machines in Dahle’s new CleanTEC paper shredder series. One of them is the 41214, a cross-cut model that was designed for small office use. Here’s a look at its strengths and weaknesses:

Strengths:

The 41214 is a cross-cut shredder that has a Level 3 security rating. It can turn a piece of paper into numerous shreds that measure just 1/8″ x 1-9/16″. You can use it to shred confidential documents such as bank statements, credit card offers, and so on.

This machine’s feed opening is 9.5″ wide so it can be used to shred both legal- and letter-sized documents. You can even leave the staples and paper clips attached to the paper since the cutting mechanism is so durable. It’s also possible to shred credit cards.

Cross-cut shredders aren’t known for their ability to shred a lot of paper at once. However, the 41214 has a good shredding capacity: it can shred up to 11 sheets at a time.

This shredder has an 11-gallon waste bin so you can share it with a couple of colleagues. An ESP system will tell you how much you’re trying to shred every time so you don’t cause the bin to overflow. (Also, the device runs quietly so your colleagues won’t be disturbed when you shred.)

The 41214 is equipped with a thermally protected motor so you can shred a lot and not worry about it overheating. After you’re done shredding, the machine will go into an energy-saving mode before shutting down completely. Also, if you ever have a problem when shredding, you can tap the machine or tell it to “Stop!” and it will stop running.

It’s important to be healthy which is why the 41214 has a CleanTEC filtration system. This feature keeps paper dust from being released into the air which will help everyone in your office stay healthy.

Maintaining this device doesn’t take much time or effort. It has an automatic self-oiler so you’ll be free to spend your time on more important things.

If you need a shredder that has a great warranty, the 41214 is a terrific choice. The cutting cylinders are covered by a limited lifetime warranty. Parts and labor are covered for 2 years.

Weaknesses:

Although this shredder is pretty compact, it’s not really small enough to be stored under a desk. Its dimensions are 28″ (height) x 17″ (width) x 13.75″ (depth).

The 41214 can’t shred multimedia items such as CD’s and DVD’s. However, there are several CleanTEC machines that can.

The 11-sheet shredding capacity might be problematic if you need to shred a lot of paper in one pass.

The Dahle CleanTEC 41214 has a few weaknesses but they’re outnumbered by this machine’s many strengths. This is machine is a great choice if you need a high-quality shredder that’s equipped with a lot of special features. Take a look at it today to determine if it’s the right shredder for your office.

Underarmor Hats – These New Hats Are Amazing

Category: Tipsadmin @ 12:15 am

Are you looking for the most amazing UnderArmor hats? The warmth of these is proven and they’re not even expensive. I can help you find these great hats (you’ll thank me the entire winter:)

My Son the Soldier

When Seth joined the U.S. army I was proud but apprehensive (like any mother). When he was sent to the Middle–East I didn’t know what I would do. So what does a mother do? I sent him chocolates and coffee (things he would miss) and an Under Armour Hood (what I thought he needed.)

What a success!! (The chocolates and coffee are long gone). He wears his hood everyday on 8 hour patrols in twenty degree weather. It keeps out the bitter cold and wind. It is comfortable for longtime wear.

His friends started borrowing it when he slept (they have shifts). Since then I have sent 12 more hoods to his unit. These soldiers can’t get enough of them.

For Us Regular Civilians

After my success with my son (he even thanked me), I had to try one too so I bought two for use in the house (they’re less than ). I must admit they’re not the most fashionable hat and certainly not “cool” for a teenager but it seems that the whole family is fighting over these two hats.

My husband tries to sneak one out of the house in the morning for his wait for the bus. My teenage son says it fits perfect under his football helmet. My girls, though embarrassed at first, seem to try to get one for their walk to school…

After all those years of hearing that keeping your extremities warm is the most important thing, I realize it is true. Your feet, your hands and your head are the most important things to keep warm.

These hoods are perfect for any outdoor activity – Sports, Bike rides, Jogs, Walks, Waiting for buses and of course Army patrol. It keeps your head warm as well as your neck and face. No more rosy red cheeks. No more ears so cold that they hurt. No more “drippy noses”. None of those bulky scarves that always get in the way.

The under armor material keeps you warm while not getting sweat-soaked, which often happens when you are dressed warmly.

Where do I buy one?

There are all sorts of underarmor hats advertised and most of them seem to be good but you want a recommendation, a reliable store and a good price.

The Best Reasons To Get Professional Lawn Care Services

Category: Tipsadmin @ 10:24 am

Article by Shane Hester

Whether conspicuously right out front or concealed in the backyard, almost every house has a lawn. Well maintained lawns usually serve to landscape a home and add to its value. It is no surprise that some homeowners spend a lot of time, effort and money on lawn care. While some homeowners opt to have professional services take care of their lawns, others prefer to do it themselves. If you want to create and take care of your lawn but do not know where to begin, here are some of the basic things to consider first.

Healthy Soil, Healthy Lawn

One of the most important things to take care of is the foundation for the lawn. To grow a great lawn, you need to have healthy, fertile soil. You can perform a soil test using available do it yourself kits you can buy from the store. This test will allow you to determine how your soil is and what else you need to do to improve it. Lawn care begins right from the very first step.

Grass Types and Planting

The type of grass that is best for your lawn depends on your geographic location. Are you living in a hot or tropical area? Do you often experience rains where you live? Do you live where there is not much sunlight? After considering this and deciding on a type of grass, you can start to loosen up or aerate the soil using a rake and plant the grass seeds. For proper lawn care, make sure to spread the seeds evenly and cover them with a layer of soil so that they are nestled in the earth’s nutrients.

Watering and Fertilizing

A thick, green, luscious lawn can be your pride and the envy of your neighbors. To grow this kind of lawn, you need to make use of proper fertilizers that give nutrients to the soil. The nutrients are absorbed by the plants, allowing them to grow rich and well. Make sure to do your research and use the best fertilizer and the proper fertilizing method. Lawn care does not just end with the fertilizer; you need to water your lawn regularly with the proper amount.

Regular Maintenance

After all the careful preparations you have made for your lawn, you need to maintain it regularly. Depending on the type of grass, you can set a date on when you need to mow the lawn. Keep the grass anywhere from two to three inches all year round. If you go shorter than two inches, your lawn can be at risk for heat intolerance and drought as well as insects, weeds and diseases. With proper and regular lawn care, you and your lawn can be free from such problems.

Why Go Through So Much for a Lawn?

A lawn does not just serve to beautify your surroundings. There are so many benefits that you and the world enjoy when you properly take care of your lawn. Lawns prevent soil erosion, provide oxygen and fight off pollution. They also trap dust particles and can absorb sound. If you think that lawns are just for aesthetics, think again. If you want to keep your surroundings pollution free, then start by giving proper lawn care.

Flipping Domains

Category: Tipsadmin @ 1:14 am

In general, and subject to some rules, domain names are registered on a first-come-first-served basis. That is to say, the first person to register any particular name (which in the case of com, net, and org domain names costs just a few dollars per year) continues to control that domain name until he either transfers it to somebody else, or stops paying the annual renewal fees. This means that a person can profit by being the first to identify and register an available but potentially valuable domain – and then reselling (flipping) the name to somebody else who wishes to use that name. In some cases, domain names that have been registered for a just a few dollars, have been sold for many thousands of dollars, and in rare cases, hundreds of thousands or more.

There are some important things to realize:

1. Most of the obviously valuable names, the low hanging fruit, have been registered a long time ago. For example, you would have to be extremely lucky to find a single word dot com name available today.

Instead, you must be more inventive and thoughtful.  You need to understand that finding potentially resalable domain names requires knowledge of the marketplace, knowledge of what types of buyers are active, and then research into the available names.

2. Many people buy domain names expecting to immediately sell them for a huge profit. This is very unlikely to happen if you don’t know what you are doing or if you don’t choose the right names. What’s more, if you register domain names but then fail to sell them, you will be out of pocket for the registration fees.

3. If you register names that infringe trademarks, they are likely to unsaleable.

This is because trademark holders have options available to them to pursue cybersquatters, and can even sue in the courts.  It is therefore best to stick to generic non-trademarked names.

In short, developing a successful domain flipping and trading business, is not a unskilled job – it requires a considerable amount of expertise and knowledge. You can probably develop such skills yourself over a period time, but you should also try to talk to and learn from others who have experience in this business. You might also find guides such as Brian Pubrat’s “Domain Cash Vault” or Edwin John’s “How I Sell My Domain Names”, to be a big help too.
